Detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose decomposed body was found in a house in Athi River, Machakos County.
According to police reports, the woman passed away at an undisclosed time and day in the Bondeni area.
Neighbors raised alarm after noticing a foul smell emanating from her residence, prompting them to notify the authorities.
Police responded to the call on Tuesday and gained entry into the house, where they found the body lying on the floor without any apparent injuries.
The deceased’s identity has not been revealed, and her body has been transferred to the mortuary pending autopsy and further investigation.
