Defiant Kiunjuri says sacking was overdue

“The President’s decision has taken me by no surprise” Kiunjuri.

BY PRUDENCE WANZA- Mwangi Kiunjuri has reacted to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s decision to sack him.

In a press briefing held at Serena Hotel Kiunjuri said he feels relieved and he thanks God for the decision taken by the president.

He further revealed to have gone through a difficult year which on a number of occasions threatened his energy and resolve.

“I have endured a lot of humiliation, only God and my family know how this made me feel. I have given my best in my assignment; I leave with my head high.” He said

Kiunjuri, however, thanked the President for acknowledging that agricultural production in all levels.

He also thanked the president for allowing him to serve the docket for the four years in which he has gained immeasurable experience and exposure on how government works.

Kiunjuri will be replaced by Peter Munya who was serving as the Trade and industrialization Cabinet Secretary before the cabinet changes were made.
