Diana Chepkemoi is expected back in Kenya Tuesday 1:00PM from Saudi Arabia, Embassy of Kenya in Riyadh has confirmed.
Her flight (AirArabia) will depart Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
“The Mission wishes to inform that Diana Chepkemoi flies back to Kenya today, 5/9/2022, to join her family,” stated the embassy.
The embassy stated on their Twitter handle that Diana was picked up from her employer’s house by an ambulance, rushed to Shamesi, a top level hospital in Riyadh for a checkup, discharged and referred to a specialized hospital for further diagnosis, and given a clean bill of health.
“The Embassy is grateful to the Ministry of Labour and the Consular Departments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their quick response and intervention in this case.”
Furthermore, the Embassy thanked the Saudi government for providing job opportunities to many Kenyans who work and live in the Kingdom.
On Sunday, Foreign Affairs Secretary-General Macharia Kamau tweeted that the matter had been taken up by the Kenyan ambassador in Saudi Arabia, and that Chepkemoi was in good hands.
With expected arrival of their loved one back to the country, the family members have been facilitated to travel to Nairobi by the County Government of Bomet.
