DIB Bank, Halal Events Brite Partner to Empower Women

Halal Events Brite has partnered with DIB Bank Kenya to host an entrepreneurship and financial literacy conference for Kenyan women.

The 2nd Annual Financial Conference, which will be held at Ole Sereni Hotel, Nairobi on Saturday 11th February 2023 targets over 200 women from across the country.

The Conference will build upon the previous conference and focus on the reality of Islamic finance and the opportunities for women, said Halal Events Brite Director Ayan Ahmed.

“Women make up an integral part of society. For the longest time, they have lagged when it comes to financial empowerment. This event will bring women entrepreneurs together and take them on a financial journey to enable and support their growth,” Ms. Ayan said.

“We have witnessed exponential growth in Islamic Finance in the last decade. However, public literacy remains a hindrance to the full implementation and absorption of the products and services. This event will provide an opportunity for our female customers to equip themselves with important knowledge that will help in their self-development, encourage them to adopt banking discipline, and propel them into business.”

Themed Money talks every woman should have in her 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, and ‘50s, the event seeks to empower women entrepreneurs by unpacking the essentials of Islamic Banking with special attention on women’s finance, savings, and investment, shariah of money, and business management.

“We are excited about the potential impact of this Conference. At DIB Bank Kenya we believe that the full participation of women in the economy is essential, and we are committed to accelerating progress and efforts towards women’s empowerment, and fostering inclusive economic growth,” DIB Bank Kenya Acting CEO Rose Kagucia said.
