Heads of missions in Kenya have lauded Kenyans for maintaining a peaceful environment during the election season.
In a joint statement, heads of Embassies lauded all stakeholders; the IEBC’s election organization, and the positive roles played by civil society, religious and business leaders, and the security sector.
Kenya, according to the statement, has set a good example for the region and the continent as a whole.
The ambassadors urged all actors to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the coming weeks as the Judiciary prepares for any election petition.
“We urge all political parties and their representatives to abide by the Kenyan Constitution’s established procedures for resolving disputes.” Read the statement.
