A police officer attached to the Diplomatic Police Unit (DPU) was attacked and robbed while attempting to deposit money at an Mpesa shop in Kiambaa.
Officer Stanley Kipterer, on his way to work from his residence near Ruaka, was assaulted by three unknown assailants around 4:30 am.
The thugs struck him with a blunt object, causing severe head injuries, and stabbed him in the upper torso, before escaping with Ksh.1,500 and his Samsung A23 mobile phone.
