Dont Even Try Breaking Curfew During Easter — Police Warn Kenyans

The National Police Service has vowed to increase surveillance inorder to ensure the adherence to enforce government directives barring COVID-19 spread in the country. – By Gerald Gekara.

In a statement to the press, the Police say a contigent of 3,000 prison warders coupled with thousands of officers recalled from their leave days, will monitor the One zoned area to ensure compliance with directives.

Essential service providers will however remain in service provided they can prove their emergencies.

President Uhuru Kenyatta banned movement into and out of Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru Counties following a spike in the number of COVID-19 infections.

The cessation of movement into and out of the five counties took effect on Saturday, March 27, 2021 until further notice.

President Kenyatta said Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Kiambu and Nakuru have been declared disease infected areas, noting that they account for 70 percent of the country’s total infections.
