Dorice Donya, Kisii Woman Representative, decried the spike in incest incidents in the region.
She said it is tragic that a girl kid can’t feel comfortable with close family members and relatives.
According to Donya, most girls would continue to be brutalized and left nurse long-term scars on their own if effective supervision was not in place.
She said being a holiday break from school, parents need to scale up surveillance on their children to stem indecency.
“If parents are reluctant, the harvest from their children will be poor; let us all increase our vigilance,” she remarked.
She warned chiefs, their assistants, and Nyumba Kumi officials not to relax their vigilance in the face of an increase in teenage pregnancies.
