Deputy President Gachagua startled Kenyans after he boarded a Kenya Airways commercial flight to Mombasa.
Gachagua alighted from his car at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport airside, clutching a travel bag, an unusual scene for a senior government official, despite presence of multiple security guards and staff.
This is the third time the Deputy President has been seen flying non-military aircraft while undertaking his functions.
On Sunday 9th June, Gachagua revealed his flight challenges in front of President Ruto while apologizing for being late.
He had earlier been snapped disembarking a private helicopter in Nakuru ahead of the Akurinu National Prayer Day event.
Gachagua is scheduled to open the International Scientific Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Sarova Whitesands Hotel in Mombasa County.
The conference began on June 10, 2024, and will run until Friday, June 14.
