DP Kindiki Mourns with the Family of Former Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho

The Deputy President H.E (Prof.) Kithure Kindiki has mourned former Ol Kalou MP, the late Hon. David Kiaraho as a hardworker and a peacemaker who would be greatly missed.

The DP who had visited the family of the former MP in Nairobi also conveyed the condolence message of the President H.E William Ruto.

He described the deceased as his friend and a dependable legislator whose input within and outside Parliament made a major impact in nation building.

“Hon. Kiaraho made great friends beyond his home region and despite being a politician I do not recall him creating enemies or unnecessarily roughling feathers,” noted the Deputy President.

H.E Prof. Kindiki said that as credit for this enviable fete, the former MP deserved a deserving send off and that he and the rest of the Executive arm of Government would do their best to ensure it was done.

“We will respect every decision that the. Church and the family will make will make with regard to the wishes of the departed and the send off ceremony,” noted the DP.

He added: “He was a peaceful man and a peacemaker and so we must honour him even in eternity.”

He cautioned leaders and other mourners who attend his send off ceremony slated for April 10, 2026 to exercise restraint against divisive political talk and conflict.

The Deputy President was also in the company of Tourism Cabinet Secretary Hon. Rebecca Miano, and a host of Members of Parliament.

Chairperson of the Funeral Planning Committee who is also the MP for Kinangop Hon. Kwenya Thuku reiterated that the National Assembly would work closely with the National Government team to give the former MP a befitting sendoff.

A number of spouses of Members Parliamemt were also present.
