Kithimani Law Courts in Machakos County has released a drug peddler on a Sh200,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh100,000 for being in possession of bhang.
Paul Mutua Muli appeared before principal magistrate Paul Wechuli where he pleaded not guilty to the offences of trafficking in Narcotics.
According to the prosecution, Muli was on December 11, 2023, at Matuu township in Yatta sub-county within Machakos County found in his house trafficking narcotic drugs (bhang) with 20 brooms, 18 rolls, 700 grams of Sh22,000 street value.
“The suspect can be released upon tendering a Sh200,000 bond with the same surety or paying Sh100,000 cash bail. He should be supplied with the witness statements, the case will be mentioned on January 4, 2024,” said Magistrate Wechuli.
