Bishop David Oginde, the nominee for Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Chairperson, has been urged not to let the country down when he takes the helm of the EACC.
Mbooni MP Erastus Kivasu stated that following parliamentary approval of Bishop Oginde’s nomination, he should live up to Kenyans’ high expectations.
The National Assembly adopted the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee’s report on Thursday, which recommended approval of his nomination to replace Archbishop Wabukala, whose term expired in January.
“We wish him well and expect him to perform. We hope he will deliver on the high calling of his office and increase accountability in the utilization of public funds.” MP Kivasu said.

The legislator also decried the prevalence of corruption in the country and exuded confidence that the new EACC Chair will revamp the fight to mitigate its effects on the livelihoods of Kenyans.
The MP said Mbooni has recorded notable achievements through the National Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and called for accountability in the implementation of all development projects.
