EAC, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands CS Rebecca Miano have extended a message of congratulations to the newly elected EALA MPs.
Miano welcomed the nine elected officials to Kenya for the 5th East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
“We are happy that Kenya has sent its best team to the regional Assembly, and I look forward to a successful collaboration with you,” Miano remarked.
Miano went on to say that she is looking forward to working with the elected leaders.
She stated that the members enter the Assembly at a vital juncture in Kenya’s implementation of the EAC’s third and fourth pillars, the Monetary Union and political confederation, respectively.
