The main suspect in the murder of fashionista Edwin Chiloba, Jackton Odhiambo, has admitted to killing the model over claims that he cheated on him.
According to Langas OCPD John Odhiambo, Jackton carried out the murder with the assistance of two associates who remain at large. The suspect said he murdered Chiloba in retaliation for betraying him.
Odhiambo, who had been living with the dead in Eldoret for a year, was arrested on Friday as the prime suspect in the murder. They were married and lived together.
Alex Nyamwea, Chiloba’s caretaker, said Odhiambo called him on Chiloba’s phone on January 4, alerting him that he was leaving the residence they shared.
The police are looking into a possible love triangle after the primary suspect, Jackton Odhiambo, confessed to the murder after learning Chiloba had another partner.
