Two people died on the scene and 33 others were hospitalized in various health facilities following a road accident in Sirisia, Bungoma County.
The tragedy occurred when a Nairobi Bus traveling from Lwakhakha to Nairobi went off the road and collided with a boda boda rider.
According to reports, a woman and her child were killed on the scene.
The passengers in the vehicle suffered multiple injuries and were taken to various medical facilities for treatment.
Namundi village is located in Lwandanyi ward, Sirisia constituency, Bungoma West Subcounty, Bungoma County.
Area OCPD David Kandie confirmed the event on Sunday, saying that two people died on the spot.
