Eliud Kipchoge jets back to the country after success in INEOS 159 Challenge

BY FAITH MUTETE – The marathon champion, Eliud Kipchoge has jetted back into the country this morning aboard Kenya Airways .

He was escorted by Captain Gachanja Gichuku and his crew in KQ117. The head of communications and Public affairs Dennis Kashero revealed that the plane landed in Nairobi at 6.18 am

Eliud Kipchoge flew to Vienna, Austria to compete against time in the INEOS 1:59 and emerged being the world’s first man to run a marathon in less than two hours.

He has currently been nominated the #IAAF Athlete of the Year and many Kenyans are hopeful that he will wi, being his year in athletics.
