End of an Era, Bahati Shuts Down EMB Record label

Controversial Gospel singer Kelvin Bahati has closed down his Eastlands Most Beloved, EMB, record label terminating all artists contracts under the label indefinitely. – By Prudence Wanza.

The ‘Mama’ Hitmaker broke the news through his YouTube channel on a video titled ‘End of an Era’, narrating how he has helped many succeed in Gospel Music since 2015 when he started the label.

“I’m officially closing down EMB and terminating all contracts of artist I had signed, Weezdom and Denno..” the flashy gospel singer said.

The self-proclaimed King of Gospel Music has recently been involved in controversies with artists he worked with. Most of them have come out exposing him for mistreatment, these include Mr Seed and Peter Blessing.

Bahati came into limelight in 2013 after realising his song Mama. One of his biggest highlight in his career was to perform before the President Uhuru Kenyatta, and shockingly got a chance to ‘dethrone’ him to sing to the first lady.

Bahati shot up the ladder into the celebrity limelight, bagging endorsement deals from the corporate world that eventually got him to start a record label, EMB records.

Towards the end of 2019, Bahati came under fire for collaborating with secular artists and his long stretching beef with secularised Willy Paul. They have since reconciled.

Bahati’s recent collabo with Raunchy Boondocks Gang raised eyebrows
