End Of An Era: Kenya’s Football Superman Murdered

Isaac Juma, one of Kenya’s most popular fans was murdered on Wednesday night at his home in Kakamega County.

According to credible reports received by the news desk, Juma was attacked at his home in Rukaya village.

Farida Juma, his second wife, informed the media that the attackers struck at 9 p.m., and that she believes he was killed in a land dispute.

Mumias West OCPD Stephen Muoni said that one of the suspects is already in police custody, as officers hunt for his accomplices.

“We may as well arraign him today depending on how fast our investigations materialize,” the OCPD disclosed.

“He was in his house when he heard a commotion in his sheep pen. Going out together with his son and brother the two men hacked Juma to death as his son and brother narrowly escaped,” Muoni added.

Deputy President William Ruto eulogized him as a jovial and passionate soccer supporter.

“We are heartbroken by the loss of the ever-present AFC Leopards and Harambee Stars longstanding fan Isaac Juma. He was a friendly, ever jovial and passionate soccer supporter. Our thoughts are with the family and soccer fraternity during this painful time. Rest In Peace, Juma.”

Musalia Mudavadi reckoned his ever present energy in national matches.

“The late was an ever-present face on the terraces working up fans and his energy was a motivation to the boys in the pitch. May his family, friends and relatives find peace, as his soul RIP”

Juma was known for his passion of local football and was recognized as a loyal fan of AFC Leopard and Harambee Stars.

At the time of his death Juma is survived by two wives and 10 children.
