For the second time, the Equity Group Foundation has supplied personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the West Pokot County administration in an effort to combat Covid-19.
Ms Christine Apokoreng, a member of the County Executive Committee (CEC) for health and sanitation, praised the Foundation for the supplies, calling it a “really generous gesture,” especially during pandemic times.
She told KNA that the low incidence of Covid-19 positive cases was due to the use of personal protective equipment (PPEs).
“I applaud you as our heroes since you came with assistance when we needed you most. Positive currently stands at 290 since the first case was announced in the country,” she mentioned.
According to her, Equity was the first group to deal with once the epidemic hit the country, and the PPEs have aided health workers in continuing to provide effective service delivery.
