The primary suspect in the murder of Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo has been apprehended by police.
The adolescent had been evading authorities since last Thursday when officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended him in Kibra.
She is currently being held at Muthaiga Police Station, awaiting transfer to Kilimani Police Station, which is in charge of the investigation.
On the morning of Friday, September 15, 2023, Maigo was brutally stabbed 25 times.
The sleuths said in a statement last Friday that the suspect, who is still on the run, has been identified as being between the ages of 15 and 17 years old.
The DCI also revealed that on Thursday, images of the suspect were widely circulated on the internet.
