Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick in the second half as Manchester City rallied from two goals down to defeat Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The visitors appeared to be on course to win at Etihad Stadium for the second consecutive season when they led 2-0 at halftime thanks to a John Stones own goal and a powerful header from Joachim Andersen.
However, City cut the deficit shortly after the break when Bernardo Silva’s shot deflected off Palace midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp and past Vicente Guaita.
With the hosts completely in charge, Haaland took center stage.
The Norwegian nodded in Phil Foden’s cross to equalize for Pep Guardiola’s side, then prodded in Stones’ errant shot to complete the comeback.
With Palace chasing the game, Haaland capped a fine performance by racing on to Ilkay Gundogan’s pass and holding off Joel Ward before being replaced to a rapturous ovation from the home fans.
