The leadership of the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya met in Karen to deliberate on issues affecting the Country.

Among the areas of their concern was the latest reports that there seems to be a rise in the Cases of Covid 19 infections.

Speaking in the event, Nelson Makanda the general secretary EAK, said “we have continuously rallied the places of worship to remain safe spaces”.

The religious leaders said they have offered churches to be centers for vaccination.

Further they urged government to take up the offer and avail vaccination stations at each available church site.

They also urged Kenyans to take the vaccine as it is for their safety. However they came out clearly that Kenyans should not be coerced to get vaccinated.

Quoting Isaiah 1:18, Mr. Makanda said the government should employ all dignifying means available to attain a common goal of ending the pandemic.

Addressing the political activity in the country, EAK urged politicians to be mindful of their language and welfare of citizens and reduce the supper spreader rallies.

At the same time EAK launched an Evangel Mediation Council. The council is aimed at pastoring Kenyans for peaceful election.
