Police in Homa Bay arrested a 45-year-old man on Tuesday for allegedly defiling his 14-year-old daughter in Andingo village.
The suspect is being held at Ndhiwa police station while the children’s services department and police await a medical report before arraignment.
According to area Chief Samson Owili, the suspect has been defiling the grade five pupil in his bed at night.
Owili claims that the suspect had separated from his wife and took advantage of her absence to defile the girl.
The administrator explained that the girl had been disappearing from home to avoid being defiled by her father. On Monday, when she arrived at school, the teachers interrogated her about why she is always absent. She explained to them what had been happening at home.
The pupil has been taken to the hospital to be examined before the suspect is charged.
