‘Fimbo ya Nyayo’ lands on endorsed Gideon Moi

By ENOCK MUKOMA — Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has been officially endorsed by elders and family members to take over the mantle of political leadership from his late father and Kenya’s second president Daniel Moi.

The last born son of Moi was handed the baton of leadership by his elder brother Raymond Moi.

He accepted the mantle with humility promising to do his best.

This puts to rest the power scramble that many had thought off. Gideon had earlier received backing from COTU SG Francis Atwoli who demanded that he now be vibrant.

 Other speakers in the ceremony including Hon Kamket sort to assure supporters, that Kanu is still strong and a formidable force in the political field.

He urged Gideon to work with Uhuru closely as it was late Mois wish before he died.

On the other hand Nick Salat announced that after the 7 days of mourning the party will pitch tent at Kabarak to receive members for forty days who will want condole with the family.
