Five Police Officers To Answer Over Willy Kimani Death

Five officers accused of the murder of lawyer Willy Kimani, Joseph Muiruri; his client, and Josphat Mwenda a taxi driver have been found with a case to answer.

High court judge Lady Justice Lesit has ordered that the accused person appears in court for defense on September 27 and 29.

She further ordered that they supply the office of the Director of Public Prosecution with statements from their witnesses and any other evidence material they would wish to relay within 3 days.

The executions provoked an uproar, with many blaming the police force for a string of extrajudicial killings in recent years.
