The plaintiff Maraga is accusing the defendant Ahmed Nassir for defaming him on a post on his twitter account.
“On January the 12th Ahmed posted a defamatory, libelous and scandalous tweet on his account .which got quite the reaction 565 comments, 381 retweets, and 2500 likes.
According to David the words by Ahmed as he understood he meant that:
-David being the plaintiff is not an honest Kenyan
-He is not a decent Kenyan
-That David was aware of a judge in the Supreme Court who took a bribe of 220,000,000 ksh.
In his defense Maraga said the statement given by the defendant was false and that Ahmed was out to ruin his reputation and character. David is a retired chief justice who left office on the 14th of January this year and he got in office in 2016.
Ahmed Nassir is an advocate of the High court of Kenya and also a senior counsel of the JSC.
