Four aspirants seeking the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket for the Malava Constituency by-election today met President William Ruto at State House.
David Ndakwa, Leonard Shimaka, Simon Kangwana and Rhyan Injendi Malulu all seeking the UDA Party ticket for the 27th November 2025 by-elections, held a consultative meeting with the Party Leader with a view to building a common front towards the elections.
The President hosted the aspirants in the company of Prime Cabinet Secretary H.E Musalia Mudavadi, UDA Party Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan, Vice Chairman Mr. Kelvin Lunani and Executive Director Mr. Nicodemus Bore.
The four are seeking to succeed Moses Malulu Injendi who died on Monday, February 17.
Injendi, who was serving his third consecutive term, passed away while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. He was 58.
The MP was laid to rest at his rural home in Lukusi Village on Tuesday March 4, 2025.
A member of Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress (ANC), Injendi was in his third term in Parliament since 2013—a feat that demonstrated the electorate’s faith in his leadership abilities.
Injendi was known for his bold and outspoken nature, earning admiration for his willingness to speak out against issues he disagreed with.
