Four Fargo Courier employees charged with allegedly stealing goods worth Ksh 7 million

Four Fargo Courier employees were today arraigned in a Nairobi court facing charges of stealing goods worth Ksh 7 million on transit.

According to the police, the four employees, George Maingi Mutea, Justus Kyalo Muthama, Joel Kiamba Ndirangu and Mary Njeri Njau on diverse dates between April 20 and May 24, 2024 conspired to steal a parcel on transit by Fargo Courier containing 100 pieces of cell phones make Oppo Reno 11 valued at Ksh 7 million.

The said phones were to be delivered in Nairobi to DegBarre.

The four suspects denied the charges before a Milimani Law Courts Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi and were each released on Ksh 3 million bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 1.5 million.

This is not the first time Fargo Courier employees are charged in Court over stealing money and goods belonging to customers on transit.

On November 2023, two Wells Fargo staff are on the run after stealing Sh94 million on Monday morning.

The suspects, identified as Daniel Mungai and Anthony Nduiki, were supposed to deliver the cash to Family Bank, Kenyatta Avenue, on behalf of Quickmart Supermarket.
