Rescue operations are underway at a construction site in Kajulu West in Kisumu East sub county where a four-storey building under construction collapsed last night,
Three masons have been trapped in the debris according to site reports.
Kisumu County Police commander Ranson Lolmodoni says a total of 6 masons who were sleeping on the ground floor of the building were trapped when the building collapsed at around 10pm last night.
Three masons suffered slight injuries and were rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral hospital where they were treated and discharged.
Currently a multi-agency rescue team consisting NYS officers, Red cross teams amongst others are at the site to try rescue three others who are still trapped.
He says the three masons who were discharged are also at the scene already joining in the rescue efforts.
