Fresh Details In The Cold Blood Murder Of Margaret Mbitu At Logan Airport Garage In USA

Fresh details emerge on the murder of Margaret Mbitu, a US based Kenyan nurse who was found dead inside a car at Logan Airport in the US.

According to a report by the Massachusetts State Police, Mbitu’s body was found inside the vehicle of the boyfriend, also a Kenyan, who is the prime suspect in the case. The Kenyan woman had visible knife wounds on the neck and the face.

Knife wounds were also discovered on her side near the chest area.

Blood was discovered inside the car and the deceased was reportedly discovered in the front seat.

The white car was seen being driven to the airport on Tuesday, October 31, and then parked at the garage, according to police, who were able to view CCTV footage from the airport. A day had passed since Mbitu’s reported disappearance.

After exiting the car, the main suspect went to the terminal to board a flight that would return him to Kenya.

According to preliminary accounts, the boyfriend, who is from Kenya, made the flight reservation to Kenya on Tuesday morning prior to reaching the airport.

The next day, November 1, at 6:30 p.m., police found Mbitu’s body; at 7:30 p.m. 

Officers based at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are currently working alongside the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to have the man captured and extradited to the US.
