Garissa, Tana River Police Probe Unidentified Dead Bodies

The discovery of 14 dead in Garissa and Tana River Counties in the previous four months has perplexed police.

No one has come forward to report any missing persons or claim any of the dead that has been discovered at the Garissa Referral Hospital, adding to the mystery.

Ali Ndiema, the sub-county police commander for Tana North, has appealed to the public for help in identifying the bodies.

The bodies’ samples, on the other hand, were transported to a government chemist for further analysis.

Ali Ndiema said the investigation has been difficult because no one has come forward to report a missing person or identify the dead.

While describing the killings as appalling, Garissa Township MP Aden Duale stated that the country, particularly the people of Garissa, must be provided answers to the mystery fatalities.

Duale has urged the Interior Secretary, the Inspector General, the DPP’s office, and the DCI to move quickly in investigating and resolving the multiple deaths reported across the country.
