A middle aged man of German origin was arraigned in court and charged with obtaining money by false pretence contrary to the Law.
Abdukadir Bootaan Kheyre is accused of obtaining Ksh. 11.6m from Abdisaafi Musa Omar on diverse dates between September 3 and November 2, 2021.
The accused person is believed to have duped Mr. Omar that he was in a position to sell him 3 German Truck Vehicles.
Appearing before Magistrate Bernard Ochoi of Milimani Law courts, the accused denied the charges.
The prosecution side while objecting his release on bond stated that his travel history from immigration office indicates that he has a Germany Passport and he only travels occasionally.
Further, the accused person upon recording his statement indicated that he is a taxi driver in Germany where he stays with his family.
However, the court adjourned the case to Tuesday April 26, 2022 to go through applications from both defense and the prosecution counsels before giving ruling on his bond terms.
