Tragedy struck Nairobi’s Indian community this weekend as businessman Somesh Ramesh was found dead in his car.
Somesh’s body was discovered on Sunday morning, dumped in his car within Nyari estate. Police believe he may have been killed Saturday night before being transported to the location.
Reports indicate Somesh was found bundled in the front seat. The perpetrators then drove the car into a ditch and attempted, unsuccessfully, to set it on fire.
Investigators are looking into a call Somesh received from an unknown number before his death. This detail adds another layer of suspicion to this already troubling case.
Somesh’s body has been transported to a morgue for a post-mortem examination. Police are working to uncover the cause of death and apprehend those responsible.
