Gor Mahia a win away from 21st league title following draw against KCB

KCB have delayed pushed Gor Mahia’s coronation back after holding the record league champions to a barren draw at St. Sebastian Park.

Gor were seeking to deposit three points from the clash and move to a point within the reach of their 21st league title.

However, the bankers, who are not mathematically safe as far as relegation is concerned, had other thoughts, matching their opponents and in the end, forcing a share of points.

Much as Gor were in dire need of the points, KCB equally wanted them as the deep-pocketed team is just eight points above the red zone.

The result means that Gor haven’t managed to take three points from KCB’s safe as the two teams labored for a one-all draw in the first leg staged at Nyayo Stadium.

Gor sought to capitalize on the slip-up by their closest challengers; Tusker and Kenya Police and be on the brink of retaining their title.
