Government is not broke, Ukur Yattani, the CS, National Treasury has affirmed

Yattani said the Government has not applied for a Sh.85billion loan scheduling over the Covid 19 effects as reported by the Daily Nation and Social Media.

The story had alluded that the Government has applied for a debt rescheduling and suspension from G20 countries.

The Nation had cited the Covid 19 economic effects as the reason for the pilling debt pressure. Ukur has said the Cabinet has no agenda like that.

In a statement the CS Yattani acknowledge Kenya economy has been impacted by Covid-19, so as the other part of the world. He also assured Kenyans the economy will respond positively.

He closed by encouraging media station to particularly confirm facts with the Government before publishing information will may be misleading.
