Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has announced a reshuffle in his administration, re-assigning several Chief Officers in a move aimed at enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency within the county government.
In the changes, Mary Rotich has been moved from the Lands and Physical Planning docket to the Housing and Urban Development department, replacing Julius Koech.
Abraham Kiptalam Bureti, who has been serving as the Chief Officer for ICT and Innovation, will now act as Chief Officer for Livestock and Fisheries while taking up a new role in the Agriculture and Agribusiness docket. He replaces Elphas Kessio, who has been transferred to the Cooperatives and Enterprise Development department.
Bureti’s former ICT and Innovation position has been filled by Nathan Korir, who previously served in the Economic Planning docket. Korir’s vacancy in Economic Planning will now be occupied by Nixon Cheplong, who moves from the Livestock and Fisheries docket.
The governor’s office noted that the reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen county operations and align departmental leadership with strategic development goals.
