Gov’t Assigns 4000 Officers to Provide Security at the Africa Climate Summit

A multi-agency team with at least 4,000 officers is prepared to provide security for the first Africa Climate Summit, which is planned to take place at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) from September 4th to 8th.

The government has developed a comprehensive emergency response plan, according to PS Raymond Omollo, who spoke at a second security briefing with the Diplomatic Corps and international organisations on the status of summit preparations.

At least 14,000 delegates and dignitaries, including numerous Heads of State and Ministers from the area and throughout the world, will attend the event.
