Abdi Yakub Guliye, an IEBC commissioner, has stated that he believes he was wrongfully joined in the petition filed by Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua.
Guliye was responding to an affidavit to the two’s presidential election petition.
Guliye stated that the issues raised in the petition are related to events, acts, or omissions that allegedly occurred while he was performing his official duties as a commissioner of the first respondent (IEBC).
He also stated that the petitioner’s case, as pleaded, does not reveal any cause of action against him in his personal capacity.
