Milimani Chief Magistrate Micheni Wendy lifted the warrant of Arrest against Hon. Guyo Guchana Halake hours after it was issued by the same court.
The Nairobi County Assembly Majority leader, Hon Guyo was expected to appear before Milimani Law courts on May 31,2022 to answer allegations of Conspiracy to defraud contrary to the Law. He is accused of obtaining Ksh 11 million from an Advocate who was representing his client.
The said MCA failed to appear in court hence prompting the public prosecutor to plead with the court to invoke its coercive power and force the MCA to appear to in court.
The honourable court proceeded to issue a warrant of arrest. However, his defence Lawyer approached the court hours later with an application to have the warrant lifted on the basis that his client was unwell.
The warrant was partially lifted until June 6,2022.
