A Director of Harizon Hills Limited has been arraigned in court for stealing land valued at Ksh 500 million.
Samuel Njuguna Chege was arraigned in a Nairobi court facing charges of conspiring to defraud Messer’s Aureum Limited of land measuring 0.3314 hectares.
The said land situated along General Mathenge Road is valued at Ksh 500 million.
He was also charged with forging a title deed for the land purporting it to be genuine and issued by the Ministry of Lands and physical planning at the Nairobi land registry.
Further, he was charged with procuring land registration by false pretence. Mr Samuel Chege is said to have procured registration of grant title for the land by falsely pretending that being the director of Harizon Hills Limited, was the lawful and registered owner of the land.
Appearing before chief magistrate Susan Shitubi at Milimani law courts, the director denied the charges.
He was detained until April 27, 2023 when the court will issue a ruling on his bail release application.
