Health Stakeholders Review Progress Ahead Of World Malaria Day

The Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Dr. Josephine Mburu, attended a stakeholders’ meeting to review the progress of preparations for the World Malaria Day 2023.

According to the Ministry of Health, malaria is still a significant global public health issue, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. 

In preparation for World Malaria Day 2023, which falls on April 25, the Ministry has invited the media to a meeting on April 19 in Nairobi.

“Malaria continues to be a major public health concern globally, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. As we approach World Malaria Day 2023 on April 25th, we are pleased to announce a media engagement meeting on April 19th in Nairobi, Kenya,” said MOH.

The meeting will bring together journalists, media professionals, public health officials, researchers and other stakeholders to discuss progress made in malaria prevention and control efforts and to share new research findings and best practices for addressing this public health issue.
