How political virus consumed DP Ruto

Has DP William Ruto suddenly become a political moron?
Event after event circus provides evidence that President Uhuru Kenyatta has politically sacrificed Ruto. And there is no turning back-

Rather than acquaint himself to this stark reality, DP Ruto continues to play the Mister nice card, hoping for Uhuru’s change of heart.
Hard luck.

Controversial novelist David Brown, in his Inferno book wrote:
In dangerous times, there is no sin greater than inaction.
Ruto is now in dangerous political territory.

Brown further adds that the darkest place in hell is reserved for those
The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain neutrality in times of a moral crisis.

Variously, the deep state has fired warning shots in the direction of Ruto. But he continued to burry his head in the sand, hoping that Uhuru will change his political trajectory.

The demonitization of the Sh.1000 note, the building bridges initiative, the collapse of his business web and the sudden freeze of his budgets are some of the silencer shots that the DP has failed to see.

At the Jubillee Party level, his allies have been removed. He says this is the work of fraudsters, effectively calling his boss a political thug.
Ruto has two options. The first is to resurrect URP, his original party and leave Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubillee Party.

The second is to resign as the Deputy President of the republic of Kenya and take on Uhuru head on.
Then, if he has sympathisers in the political system, they will back him and Shame the President.

One thing is clear. Uhuru will never back Ruto. Put another way, the Kikuyu voters will shun Ruto like the Coronavirus.
Nothing new here. The Kikuyu voters have never liked Ruto. They only tolerated him because he stopped Raila Odinga from becoming the fourth President of Kenya in 2013.
For that, Ruto was rewarded with blank LPOs and endless business opportunities by the deep state.
This gave him a false sense of power and in invincibility which has now been retracted by those who conferred it in the first place.

Make no mistake here. Kikuyu nation harbours no grudge against Ruto. But the deep state appears to be reluctant to allow the transfer of power to Ruto.
So when and why is the rain beating Ruto?

It so happens that Ruto has no known political fixed abode to warrant the trust of the owners of Kenya.
When the Sugoi man was afforded space to exercise power as DP, he went about creating a parallel system, without reference to Uhuru.
He had the audacity to dream that he is his own man, and that he was popular countrywide.

He forgot that he held delegates power.. that he was never the deputy commander in Chief, and that stagecraft has no seat for a DP, leave alone a starring role.

Ruto forgot that he was there to be seen, and never to be heard…..he forgot that the bodyguards attached to him are part of the Government machinery with the sole mandate of ensuring his safety…but with duo reporting obligations…

He forgot that the Governors and MPs in his camp have a political price tag and are available for lease when the need arises. DP Ruto failed to realize that all his charm as a fierce and ruthless politician disappeared the day he was sworn in as DP.

And that hence forth he has to obey the law to the letter.
He cannot dare incite the Kalenjin nation against the Kikuyu or other Kenyans…because by so doing, the Hague doors will swallow him.
Then there is the Gidion Moi factor.

The Baringo Senator is free of political baggage.. he can team up with other tribes and get a consolation seat in the next Government.
Ruto meanwhile will form a consortium with leaders suffocated by Raila and Uhuru and hope to emerge victorious.

Ruto is damaged political goods for now. He can do a political isolation and wait for his day with political destiny.
Like the Coronavirus and the world, Ruto is cornered. And he is stinking politically. He can only now become rebel Ruto or wait for the system to consume him.

Fare thee well Dr. William Samoei Ruto. Time to partake of your chalice., and enjoy the moment. They never embraced him in
