A day after skipping the national Covid-19 conference chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto was back to dishing out ‘hustler’ goodies to youths at his Karen residence in Nairobi.
Accompanied by Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir, nominated senator Millicent Omanga and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, Ruto distributed wheelbarrows as others showed off innovations.
In a tweet, Ruto said,”Every hustle matters, creating and expanding each opportunity is a chance to make many dreams come true.”
He took a swipe at his opponents warning them of the changing socio political trend
“You have been beneficiaries of the narrative of impunity…gone are the days when the rich used to benefit from the poor people in the society.” Ruto said.
The DPs allies had taken to social media to defend his no show at the Covid -19 conference as it was presided over by the president.
The Dps seat remained vacant, sources have it that the Dp was invited and among other functions he was to invite the president.
Joachm Atenya on twitter defended the dp “In the wake of Covid 19, you “isolated” the DP Ruto, after you have stolen billions, you now want to sanitize yourselves by having him in your midst.”
Further Hon Waruguru said ‘’Thank you my DP for your today’s NO SHOW, you have so much on your shoulders serving the ever growing Hustler nation.’’
