Deputy President William Ruto has called on Raila Odinga to respect him as he makes his 2022 campaign trail.
Speaking after a church function in Nairobi’s Umoja estate, Ruto alleged that he made the ODM boss a respected man by offering him the Prime Minister’s position.
“Were it not for me, Raila would never have been a prime Minister. So his decision to lecture us on leadership is unfounded. He should be ashamed of himself.” an angry Ruto remarked.
His sentiments come after a verbal storm was triggered by the former prime minister, who questioned why the deputy president was never investigated for his huge donations.
He alleged the millions were proceeds of corruption in the disguise of helping the poor.
Ruto was attending a church service which he donated 1 Million shillings to the PCEA, which will be used to construct a mordern structure.
He was flanked by the Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Bishop Margaret Wanjiru., as well as local leaders.
