After losing his job at kiss FM since things didn’t work out well between him and the HR. Kibe talks of how he lost his car and house and he was homeless for some time before getting back on his feet.
He had actually planned to open his Rogue Radio right after he resigned from his previous job at kiss FM but things couldn’t work out as he expected.
“2020 ilikua imeniokota, I lost my moti, I was homeless for a moment.” when I left Kiss FM my friends thought I had been fired and did not want to help me all the calls and texts I was getting stopped coming. Said Kibe on a video .
He also added that he would pitch ideas to investors but no one wanted to help me with funds. Eventually he was able to partner with a friend after one of his relatives invested in the internet radio idea and he was able to build the studio where the Rouge radio was launched in November 2020.
“Apart from the structures, Rogue Radio has very progressive content strategy which allows us the creative’s freedom you would normally not see in the mainstream radio stations.”
“We play the music you won’t hear anywhere else and we discuss topics people are afraid of talking about. Internet radio is the future of this industry.”
Kibe describes this as his biggest achievement so far and he really hopes that he will be able to attract investors
