A middle-aged man was today arraigned in Court with charges of stealing to section 268 as read with section 275 of the penal code.
Steve Nyamwamu Araka is said to have stolen Ksh 68.4 million from I&M Bank limited on diverse dates between March 20, 2022, and July 25, 2222.
Appearing before Milimani Magistrate, Hon. Caroline Muthoni, he denied particulars of the charges.
The prosecution side however objected to his release on bond or bail pending the hearing and determination of his case.
The Court ordered the accused person to be remanded in custody until September 19, 2022 when the probation department is expected to submit a bail report.
