Inter Puts Striker Up For Sale To Raise Lukaku Funds

Italian Serie A club Inter Milan are ready to sell one of their top strikers in order to bid for the English Premier League side Chelsea’s striker Romelu Lukaku.

The return of Lukaku to Inter Milan has legs – but we’ve always doubted the Italian club’s ability to raise the necessary funds.

They’re determined to do their best, and it appears that involves selling players from the fringes of their squad.

The first is Andrea Pinamonti, who spent last season on loan with Empoli, where he made an impact with 13 goals and two assists.

According to Football Italia, Inter have put him up for sale, and Fiorentina, Monza, and Bologna are interested.

If they can get €20 million or so for him, which is probably a stretch, they will be a lot closer to signing Lukaku.

There is still a long way to go, but given how positive the negotiations appear to be so far, we can’t rule it out.

Time is limited, but with determination on all sides, it is possible.
