iPhone 17 Pro Leak Hints at Major Redesign, Game-Changing Camera Upgrades Ahead of September Launch

Apple’s next-generation iPhone appears to be closer than ever, and the leaks are coming in hot.

Just weeks before Apple’s anticipated September 2025 launch event, a surprise photo shared on X (formerly Twitter) may have given the world its first real glimpse of the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro.

The image, showing a device shrouded in a black protective case, has already drawn attention from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who called the post “legit,” fueling belief that this could be the real deal.

The standout design change? A rectangular camera module with vertically-aligned sensors including the LED flash, LiDAR scanner, and microphone, all tucked along the right edge.

A close look at the leaked image shows circular cutouts matching the rumored layout, suggesting Apple is going for both function and flair in this year’s flagship.

Set to be unveiled during the week of September 8, likely on the 9th or 10th, the iPhone 17 Pro along with the iPhone 17, 17 Air, and 17 Pro Max is part of what analysts are calling Apple’s boldest lineup in years.

The new iPhone 17 Air replaces the Plus model, promising a lighter design and improved performance.

But it’s the Pro series that’s expected to steal the show.

Leaks suggest the iPhone 17 Pro will feature an upgraded Telephoto lens with 8× optical zoom, up from 5× on last year’s model.

Apple is also reportedly adding a professional-grade camera app to rival Halide and Filmic Pro, potentially exclusive to the Pro models. A second camera control button on the top edge of the device could make rapid-fire shooting and recording easier than ever.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max could cost nearly $2,000 ( around Ksh 258,000).

If the leaks are accurate, the iPhone 17 Pro isn’t just an upgrade — it’s a statement.
