Motorists using the Thika–Garissa Road can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the construction of the much-anticipated Gatitu service lane reaches completion. The new lane is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion at one of the town’s busiest intersections.
The project is part of Governor Kimani Wamatangi’s broader development agenda, laying the groundwork for the proposed Thika Smart Industrial City. Once officially opened, the service lane will not only improve traffic flow but also enhance connectivity and support economic activity in the region.
Residents and road users are now eagerly awaiting the lane’s commissioning, which marks a key milestone in the county’s infrastructure transformation plans.
