The Jubilee Party has finally made a decision regarding the drama around Nairobi speaker Beatrice Elachi.

During a meeting of the party’s conflict resolution committee, Tuju announced that Jubilee will stand in solidarity with Elachi as the speaker of the County Assembly of Nairobi.

Elachi has been in a constant war of words with majority leader Abdi Guyo, who forcefully led a campaign to impeach her as the county assembly speaker. She was later reinstated through a court order.

Her first course of action which she said she would take when back in office, was to sign a letter to remove Guyo from the majority leader’s seat.

The letter which was drafted by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and seconded by Tuju sought to replace Guyo with Hamza Maringo MCA Mark Ndung’u.
